Samantha Nivison, DPT

I was born in Orlando, Florida and moved to Sarasota in 2024.  I graduated from Stetson University in 2021 with a Bachelor's Degree in Health Sciences and then attended AdventHealth University where I earned my Doctorate Degree of Physical Therapy in 2024.  I have a special interest in post op patients, musculoskeletal disorders, return to sport, as well as helping those with chronic diseases maximize their quality of life and function.  I am extremely passionate for the sport of rowing/crew due to my history as a student athlete for the Stetson women's rowing team.  In my free time I like to golf, kayak, spend time at the beach with my best friends, and go out for a nice Italian dinner with my mom.  I value integrity, trust, empathy, and compassion and hope to demonstrate these qualities in my interactions with patients every day.

Ramon Barroso, PTA

Ramon grew up in Cuba until the age of 14, when he and his family decided to live in a beatiful free country full of opportunities and relocated to Miami, FL and later Sarasota.  He is a bilingual (Spanish & English) PTA who received his training at Keiser University. He has worked here at Fyzical Sarasota-Cattlemen since graduating in 2016.  During his time here at Fyzical, he has worked with a lot of vestibular and balance dysfunction clients and is a certified Fyzical Senior Balance Retrainer. In addition, he has worked with orthopedic rehab, and had an ACL injury/surgery of his own back in 2016-2017 which made him understand not only the physical challenges but also the mental toll that an injury can have on someone.  What he enjoys the most about his job is helping patients regain their function and improve their quality of life by overcoming whatever physical challenge they might be facing. One thing that gives him a lot of self satisfaction is educating patients on independence towards a home exercise program and also how to self-manage at home.  In his spare time he likes to stay active through fitness, soccer, and dancing which allows him to stay in touch with his culture. He has also been trying to learn how to play Bongos.

Anthony Johnson, PTA

Anthony is from the beautiful city of Miami, Florida. He graduated from Florida A&M University in 2013 with a Bachelors in Allied Health. He soon after moved to Sarasota with aspirations to progress in Physical Therapy after working as a Cobbler, Paralegal, and swim instructor. He attended Keiser University in 2019, graduated and began working with home health. He has been with Fyzical Cattlemen since May 2021, and enjoys working on improving patients’ balance and low back pain. Currently, Anthony enjoys listening to music, playing video games, spending time with family, and collecting shoes (60+ pairs and counting). Anthony’s claim to fame took place in Washington, DC where he participated in the Marching 100 during President Obama’s first inauguration. He also enjoys rooting for all Miami sports teams. Go Dolphins!

Laura Davis, PTA

I was born in St. Louis, Missouri and moved to Sarasota in 2020.  I graduated from high school in 1989 and went to the University of Missouri on a soccer scholarship for 3 years to study business.  During that time I sustained a wrist injury requiring me to receive physical therapy.  It was at that time I discovered my passion for helping others and switched my career path to physical therapy.  I then graduated from St. Louis Community College and became a licensed PTA in 1997.  I have worked in many different settings over the years such as orthopedics, pediatrics, geriatrics, acute and long term care.  My favorite setting is out patient rehab where I enjoy helping patients reduce their pain and regain their functional mobility for a better quality of life.  I am very much into health and fitness myself.  I am very caring, compassionate and energetic which I feel helps to motivate my patients.  My hobbies are exercising, golf, boating and spending time with family and friends.  I am happily married to my husband, Michael, and I am a very proud mother of my sons, Trevor and Trenton.
