We had the distinct pleasure of hosting an advanced balance and vertigo course at our Erie office in the middle of March 2022. This opportunity arose when I received an exciting message from Physical Therapist Brian Werner, co-founder of FYZICAL and the national director of Balance asking if we would like to host the class. Brian is like the Tom Brady of the vertigo and Balance Physical Therapy world! I immediately said, “Yes,” while trying to hold back my excitement.
Brian was behind the brilliant FYZICAL balance treatment model. This model is the use of advanced technology, overhead balance rails and specific balance programs to improve balance and dizziness problems. He used his background in rock climbing to help design the current overhead rail and harness systems that we use in all three of our clinics. To date, he is behind the growth of FYZICAL to over 400 balance centers around the country.
We had our Physical Therapy Assistants (PTAs) in attendance on Friday to learn new balance and dizziness treatments. Our Physical Therapists were in attendance all day Saturday and Sunday to review the latest research and learn new Vertigo and dizziness treatments. We learned many new valuable techniques that we are already putting into practice and are very thankful for Brian paying us a visit from Sarasota Florida in the cold Month of March.
